Our role in Catholic education
Catholic School Parents Victoria (CSPV) serves as a trusted and influential voice for Catholic school families across the state. We aim to support parents with clear, accessible information and resources, and ensure parents in Catholic schools have a voice on key education issues.

Our leadership role
We proudly stand as a respected and influential voice for Catholic parents in Victoria, recognised by the Church, government bodies, school proprietors and media outlets. Our focus is on ensuring parents of children in Catholic schools are heard and represented effectively.
Advocacy in action
We actively champion the concerns and needs of Catholic school families, addressing issues related to children’s health, wellbeing, and education at both state and regional levels.
Supporting parents and schools
By offering practical tools and resources, we empower schools and families to strengthen parent representation and boost engagement within their local communities. These include access to information and resources relating to curriculum and wellbeing.
Representing parents at the state level
Our Council and staff bring the parent perspective to a wide range of committees and forums. They maintain ongoing dialogue with key stakeholders, helping to build strong partnerships that benefit Catholic school families.
Collaboration with Catholic school proprietors
We partner closely with Catholic school proprietors in Victoria through active participation in working groups, advisory panels, and regular consultations to ensure parent voices contribute to key decisions.
Support and resolution pathways
For support with day-to-day matters, parents are encouraged to first speak with their child’s teacher and, if needed, the school leadership team. These staff members know your child best in the school context and are well placed to work with you to understand concerns and find positive solutions.
If your concerns are not resolved, you are encouraged to contact your school proprietor. CSPV does not assist with individual matters between a parent and a school.
If you have a concern about a school in relation to it not meeting the Minimum Standards for School Registration in Victoria. You can contact the VCEA complaints team.
