About CSPV

Governance

Catholic School Parents Victoria (CSPV) is an advisory group within the Victorian Catholic Education Authority (VCEA). Its purpose, objectives and structure are governed by a Terms of Reference ratified by the Victorian Bishops. While CSPV works in close partnership with the VCEA, it remains a private association within the Catholic Church, led by an Executive Officer who reports to a parent council drawn from Catholic schools from across the state.

Guided by its Terms of Reference, the Council develops an annual strategic work plan that sets clear organisational goals. These are pursued through quarterly meetings and an annual general meeting.

CSPV’s central focus is to work in partnership with:

  • parents and carers in Catholic schools
  • the VCEA
  • governing bodies of Catholic schools throughout Victoria, including diocesan education companies
  • school principals
  • governments, and regulatory and advisory bodies relevant to Catholic school education
  • counterpart bodies in other jurisdictions, such as Catholic School Parents Australia.

Join Catholic School Parents Victoria to enrich your family’s experience within Catholic education through regular updates and news.
