Join as a Council Member Delegate

When you join Catholic School Parents Victoria as a volunteer, the role provides many opportunities to make a difference in the broader education landscape. Your commitment is four meetings per year (2 in person, 2 via teleconference or video conference) over a two year tenure (extended upon application). 

Depending on your time and availability, there are opportunities to join sub-committees, working groups, write submissions or articles, provide feedback on key issues in education and to contribute to decision making in education by joining the Executive council. This also provides the opportunity to meet with leaders in education at a diocesan, state and national level. There are also professional learning opportunities in leadership and parent engagement depending on your interests and the skills required by the CSPV.
There is opportunity to represent parents of children in Catholic schools at a national level as a sitting member of Catholic School Parents Australia.To join CSPV you must be a current parent of a child or children who attend a Catholic school in Victoria. You will also have experience on or be a current member of a parent organisation, school board or advisory council within your school.
The tenure of a volunteer council member is two years with the option to reapply for another two years. Please read through the details below for information on how to join the council as a volunteer member.

Catholic School Parents Victoria provides opportunities for parents who would still like to contribute parent representative voice to education but are unable to commit to becoming a full CSPV member delegate.

• Send a letter of application, resume and letter
of endorsement from your school Principal
in the post to:
Executive Officer

• Send on email, your application letter, resume
and a letter of endorsement from the Principal
at your school to
• CSPV Executive Council will then review
your application.
• You will then be invited to participate in
an interview before a final decision is made.
• Following acceptance of your application
you will be inducted formally as a sitting volunteer
Council member of the CSPV for a period
of 2 years from the date of induction.
