CSPV Advocacy for Catholic Education in Victoria

The Department of Education and Training in the Victorian Government is responsible for legislation related to all education levels in Victoria from early childhood through to university level.

CSPV develops positive relationships with government and governing authorities in order to advance the interests of Catholic schools and their students, particularly in those areas where parent input can strengthen the quality of Catholic school provision in Victoria.

The Department of Education and Training are currently working through policy changes and implementation through the Education State initiative.

The Victorian Government provides partial funding to Catholic schools in Victoria for building and capital works. The majority of funding for Catholic schools is provided by the Federal Government to the CECV. Remaining funds are acquired through payment of school fees by families.
