Catholic Education Offices Victoria

Our partnerships with each of the diocesan offices in Victoria are critical to develop an understanding and implementation of parent engagement at a system level.

Diocese of Ballarat Catholic Education Limited

CSPV partnership with the Catholic Education Office in Ballarat has been valued since our inception in 2007. Over that time we have met and collaborated with the Directors, Deputy Directors and other key staff to learn more about the needs of families in the Ballarat Diocese.

The partnership has strengthened through our engagement and collaboration with the DOBCEL Family and Community Engagement Committee (FACEC). Each term we meet as a team to explore the development of a strategy to continue to build awareness of parent engagement and family-school partnerships across Ballarat diocesan schools.

Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools

CSPV began a unique partnership with Catholic Education Melbourne during it’s early inception and has continued to develop strong relationships with key staff to enable parent voice through many forums and committees that required parent perspective to be included.

Some of the projects CSPV have been involved in to provide parent voice include:

  • Development of Horizons of Hope Families as Partners in Education
  • Development of the ExCEL Wellbeing Framework
  • Development of the Identity and Growth resources for schools
  • Advocacy for both State and National Catholic school funding
  • Development of the School Advisory Council Terms of Reference
  • Promoting child safety through the swimming and water safety program alongside Lifesaving Victoria
  • Promoting Child Safe Standards and Reportable Conduct Scheme
  • Development of the MACS Strategic Plan
  • Development of MACS rebranding

CSPV was recognised as a critical partner with invitations to review the CECV and MACS marketing and strategic plan. These opportunities were also provided for CSPV parents to provide their views on improvement of each organisation that oversees Catholic education across the state and across the Archdiocese of Melbourne.
